The Federal Reserve Board on Tuesday released initial findings from its 2025 triennial payments study, which examines trends in noncash payments in the United States.
The study, conducted every three years, provides data on the volume and value of payments made by credit cards, debit cards, and other noncash methods.
The initial findings highlight shifts in consumer and business payment behavior, though the full report is expected later.
The Federal Reserve said the study helps inform its understanding of the evolving payments landscape.
