The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the National Futures Association (NFA) announced today that they have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance their cooperation, coordination, and information sharing in areas of common interest.
The agreement aims to further harmonize regulatory coordination between the two organizations, which oversee different segments of the U.S. financial markets.
Details of the MOU were not fully disclosed in the announcement, but the SEC and NFA said the pact is intended to improve their joint efforts in areas where their mandates overlap.
