The European Central Bank (ECB) today published the shortlisted design concepts for the next generation of euro banknotes and launched a public survey to collect feedback from citizens across the euro area.
The designs, developed by a panel of experts, reflect themes of European culture and historical figures, aiming to make the banknotes more relatable and inclusive for all Europeans.
The ECB invites the public to view the proposed designs online and participate in the survey, which will remain open for a limited period. The results will inform the final selection of the new banknotes' look.
The new banknotes are expected to be introduced in the coming years, incorporating advanced security features to stay ahead of counterfeiting.
