The European Central Bank (ECB) said on Friday it will start implementing an enhanced repo facility for central banks, a move designed to strengthen the toolkit available to monetary authorities.
The facility, details of which were outlined in an ECB press release, is intended to provide central banks with additional options for managing liquidity and collateral.
The ECB did not specify a timeline for the facility's operational launch, but said the implementation process would begin in due course.
The announcement follows the ECB's ongoing efforts to refine its monetary policy operations and support financial stability across the euro area.
