DJI has launched the Osmo Pocket 4P, its first dual-lens, pocket-sized gimbal camera, designed for photographers, videographers, travel creators, and vloggers. The device weighs 230g and fits in the palm of the hand.
The camera features a new 1-inch CMOS sensor with 17 stops of dynamic range, a 60mm lens with f/1.8 aperture for portraits, and a 20mm wide-angle lens with f/2.0 aperture. It records video up to 4K at 240 frames per second and captures 37MP photos.
The Osmo Pocket 4P includes a three-axis mechanical gimbal, ActiveTrack 8.0 for tracking subjects, gesture control, and a 10-bit D-Log 2 color profile. It supports 3x optical zoom and up to 12x zoom, with slow-motion and slow-shutter video modes.
Available in black and pearl white, the camera offers up to 210 minutes of runtime, fast charging (0-80% in 18 minutes), and USB 3.1 transfer speeds up to 800 MB/s. It is compatible with various Osmo accessories.
DJI, known for civilian drones, adapted its imaging technology for handheld use, with the Osmo Pocket line debuting in 2018. The company has won Engineering, Science & Technology Emmy and Academy Awards for technical achievements.
