At Lollapalooza, Smashing Pumpkins brought out Yungblud and Olivia Rodrigo as surprise guests during their set. Billy Corgan introduced Rodrigo, who sang 'Thirty-Three' as Corgan played acoustic guitar.
Earlier, Yungblud joined the band for 'Luna,' a track from the 1993 album 'Siamese Dream.' Yungblud exclaimed, 'This is a fucking dream come true!' as Corgan played guitar beside him.
Rodrigo appeared in a sheer baby doll dress and knee-high stockings. Corgan introduced her: 'And now I'd like to bring out a very, very special guest. Miss Olivia Rodrigo!' The performance of 'Thirty-Three' came from the 1995 album 'Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.'
The guest appearances followed a pattern set earlier in the week at the band's aftershow, which featured Barry Williams and Melissa Auf der Maur. Auf der Maur had sung 'The Everlasting Gaze' with the band in 2000 as a touring member.
