A fault on SSEN's network has cut power to 62 properties in Wiltshire, including Marlborough and nearby villages. Engineers are on site; restoration expected around midday.

A fault on Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks' (SSEN) overground network has left 62 properties without power in Wiltshire, affecting areas including Marlborough, Ogbourne Maizey, Ogbourne St Andrew, Southend, Woodsend, and areas near Hackpen Hill and Barbury Castle.

The power cut was first reported at 6.46am. SSEN has warned that power may not be restored until around midday, according to current estimates.

A spokesperson said: 'We're sorry about the power cut in the area. The power cut is affecting 62 properties. We are working with our engineers to fix the problem as quickly as possible, and will keep you updated.'

Engineers were expected to arrive at 8am. The spokesperson added: 'The power cut has been caused by a fault on our overhead network. Issues like this do happen and our engineers are very experienced at fixing them.'
