Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth installment in the Spider-Man series from Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, starring Tom Holland, has grossed $932 million worldwide in its first three days, nearing the billion-dollar mark in record time.
At the North American box office, the film earned a record-breaking $360 million in its opening weekend, becoming the biggest domestic opening in cinematic history, surpassing initial estimates of $355 million.
This figure dethrones the previous record held by Avengers: Endgame since 2019, which opened with $357 million (before adjusting for inflation). Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Endgame are the only two films to surpass $300 million in their opening weekends, and they are more than $100 million ahead of their closest competitors.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) holds third place with $260 million, followed by Avengers: Infinity War (2018) with $257 million. These figures reflect Marvel Studios' dominance, with its films occupying the top four spots on the list of highest-grossing opening weekends.
