The Pakistan High Commission in London has launched a digital property transfer service for Punjab, enabling overseas Pakistanis to transfer land within hours without traveling to Pakistan or relying on agents or power of attorney.
According to a statement from the High Commission, the new system offers a simple and transparent process, eliminating third parties, agents, and power of attorney. It provides a faster, more secure, and cost-effective way to transfer property.
To mark the launch, the High Commission completed its first digital property transfer for an overseas Pakistani named Fazal and his family. Fazal said the system removed the usual hassle with revenue officials and agents, with no extra costs or need for recommendations.
Fazal's daughter noted that the family expected to use a power of attorney but found the digital process straightforward, completed in a single day. She described the system as transparent, secure, and safe.
The High Commission reaffirmed its commitment to serving the Pakistani community abroad through direct and digital public services.
