Singaporean actress Kayly Loh has announced the arrival of her first child, a boy she calls 'Baby G'. The 38-year-old shared the news on Instagram on July 28, revealing that the baby arrived about two weeks earlier than expected.
In her post, Loh wrote: 'We've spent months preparing our home for him, thinking we still had a little more time. But he had other plans and decided he was ready to meet us a little earlier.' She added that nothing can truly prepare you for the moment you carry your child through the front door for the first time.
Loh is married to commercial director Jonathan Chong, 39. The couple married in December 2021 and tried to conceive naturally for two years before turning to IVF. Loh announced her pregnancy in March after a successful first attempt.
During her IVF journey, Loh shared about the 'tons of needles involved' and complications such as ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, which she described as 'one of the hardest things I've ever experienced'. She also went on a 'babymoon' to western Sichuan, China, where they had to descend from a high-altitude hotel to avoid risks.
Loh entered show business after winning Channel 5's talent contest The 5 Search in 2015. She has acted in series including Tanglin, C.L.I.F. 5, My Star Bride, and Fix My Life. In 2022, she won Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Singapore) at the Asian Academy Creative Awards for her role in Sisters Stand Tall.
