Kenya Military Medical Chief Visits Navy Hospital to Boost Healthcare

Major General (Dr) Francis Kuria, Kenya's Director of Medical Services, visited Kenya Navy Hospital on 03 August 2026 to review operations, meet staff and patients, and reaffirm support for military healthcare.

Major General (Dr) Francis Kuria, the Director of Medical Services of the Kenya Defence Forces, visited the Kenya Navy Hospital on 03 August 2026 to assess operations and reinforce institutional support for military healthcare.

During the visit, Kuria held a courtesy meeting with the Commander Kenya Navy, Major General Paul Otieno, and received a briefing from the Chief of Naval Medical Services, Brigadier (Dr) Justino Muinde, on the hospital's capabilities, achievements, and ongoing projects.

The Director toured hospital departments, interacted with healthcare personnel and patients, and wished patients a speedy recovery. He commended the staff for their professionalism and dedication to patient care.

Addressing staff, Kuria encouraged them to uphold high standards of professionalism, treat patients with compassion, and remain committed to excellence. He reaffirmed the directorate's support for the hospital's ongoing improvements.

The visit underscores the Kenya Defence Forces' investment in strengthening military healthcare infrastructure and services to improve the welfare of personnel and their families.
