The Minister for Health, Dr Marvin Fanny, received the official findings of an internal audit of nursing services during a presentation ceremony yesterday morning at the Seychelles Hospital.
The audit was conducted by three retired nurses: Bella Henderson, Marylyn Vel, and Mirena Souris. It was commissioned as part of the ministry's ongoing commitment to strengthening governance, accountability, and the quality and safety of healthcare services.
The Nursing Directorate, a key service-delivery pillar of Seychelles Hospital, plays a vital role in coordinating, supervising, and delivering nursing care across wards and units. Ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centred care remains a priority for the ministry.
The report was presented by Ms Henderson to Minister Fanny. Further details of the audit findings were not disclosed in the initial announcement.
